Frequently Asked Questions - ATR Premier |
|
Q:I have ATR installed on 2 computers with individual databases. How do I synchronize data?
|
A:There are 3 ways to synchronize databases:
- Via ATR Server. ATR Server is an add-on to ATR Web (it became free and included in ATR Web starting from version 7). It can sync ATR Pro with ATR Web and backwards as well
- Via ATR Link. You can export data from one database into Excel or CSV file and import it into another
- Export data to xml

Q:How do I make sure that I do not loose any data when I install new version of ATR?
|
A:When you install new version of ATR, your database will be upgraded automatically and you will not loose any data. As a precaution, the old database will be backed up and saved in the same folder with the following name ATRClient_YYYYMMDD_XXXXXX.mdb.bak (YYYY, MM, DD year, month and day respectively when you updated you application and XXXXXX-previous version of the database) If you decide to uninstall old version before installing a new one, make sure you DO NOT check the checkbox to delete database.

Q:I received a registration key but when I install it, the program still displays a notice with 30 days trial.
|
A:First of all, make sure that you have ATR version 7 (Help->About). If you have older version of the ATR, then go to our download page and download version 7. Then the key will work and program will get registered. If you have version 7 already and you still receive 30 day trial period message, then you have to make sure that you have saved the registration key in the correct folder where you installed the software. By default ATR is installed into C:\Program Files\Xpress Software\ATRClient folder. Make sure you save the registration key in that folder.
