The installation is conducted through the help of Master Installer and requires a number of steps. During the process, the following buttons are available: "Back" (to go back to previous step), "Next" (to continue the installation of the ATR Web) and "Cancel" (to interrupt the installation of the ATR Web).

To install the program:

During the first step, it is necessary to choose the language which will be used during the installation. This language selection will only be used during the installation process; the language of the program interface will be determined a utomatically based on the local settings of the system or could be changed later through the settings after the installation is complete.

Next, the license agreement for the current software is presented on the screen. If you agree with the conditions of the use of this software, check the checkbox "Yes, I agree:" and continue with the next step.

The next step is to select the components to be installed together with the ATR Web:

ATR Web Mobile is a special edition which allows the user to use ATR Web on portable devices.
ATR Server is an application that allows synchronization between ATR Desktop (ATR Professional or ATR Premier) and ATR Web.

ATR Web is an integral part of a more complicated Time Report system, which includes client, server and web parts:

ATR Client application is used by each company's employee as a tool to report the time spent by the employee to fulfill various projects. Initially, such information is stored in ATR Client local database but each employee has to upload the information to ATR Server database regularly.
ATR Server database is used to collect time reports from all company's employees either through ATR Client or ATR Web applications. Moreover, ATR Server database stores the bulk of vital parameters, which provide correct operation of ATR Web application. The lists of customer companies and projects in employees' local databases can also be updated from ATR Server database.
ATR Web application is used to analyze information received from all employees in a number of specifically designed layouts, to add/edit/delete employee's working hours, to change the list of clients, companies and projects. What is more, ATR Web serves the needs of all parties (i.e. employees, project managers and customers) engaged in product development process providing the program features and specifically designed interfaces for them to be able to retrieve as much information as they need to know.

Next step you will have to specify the location on your hard disk where ATRWeb will be installed. By default it is "C:\Program Files\Xpress Software\ATRWeb\" but if you want to change program location - then click "Browse" button and define an installation folder you want.

On the next two steps of the program installation you have to tell the program whether you would like to install MS Access 2000 DB or MSSQLServer 2000 DB and tell whether you would like new database or to keep working with already existing one.

Select New Database option box when you are installing ATRWeb for the first time or when you are re-installing ATRWeb and would like to abate database data from the previous installation.

To install new database:

Select Install new database option box in ATRWeb Setup window.
Click on Next> button to go to the second step of the installation.

Select Existing Database option box while re-installing ATRWeb and when you would like to keep on using database data from the previous installation.

To install ATRWeb with existing database:

Select Select existing database option box in Time Reports Server Setup window.
Click on Browse button to specify location of *.mdb file on your hard drive.
Click on Next> button to go to the second step of the installation.
